    The opening for the Skylands Gallery & Studio new art show was held last Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Beside the high quality fine art and artisan artworks that the gallery is known for, the opening featured complimentary food and beverages, live music by local artists Meg Riley and Angelo Amati, a pet adoption, and a new director. Phylis Barfoot of Vernon became the new director in May. Barfoot is a painter and mixed media artist who has been an active member of the Skylands Gallery and other art venues for a number of years.
