The two women met in 2005 while in custody at the Mat-Su Pre-trial Facility, and they later served prison time together at Hiland.

Alaska state troopers have identified the teen as 16-year-old Patrick Cooper of Anchorage, who was participating in the Robert Spurr Memorial Hill Climb at Bird Ridge, which was being run for the 29th year straight.

    A 17-foot python that had caused concern in a community north of Anchorage, Alaska, since it went missing two weeks ago has returned home. Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Care reports that Sam slithered back into view Monday in the living room of its owners' home in the town of Meadow Lakes.
