Sorenson's goal came off an assist from Carlos Padilla-Solis, who was playing on the right side of the field even though he's left-footed. Coach Rigel Weis said his team had to work extremely hard to find a goal despite having 12 shots in the second half.

    Ferndale rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to win a Northwest Conference game 5-4 against Squalicum on a walkoff sac-fly by Reid Benson on Tuesday, April 26. Max Jeffrey singled after the Golden Eagles had tied the game on a Squalicum throwing error, and after advancing to third base, Benson drove him in for his second RBI of the game. "I told him to look for a fastball and he was able to get enough on it to win the game," Ferndale coach Donny Hennigs said.
