Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said someone entered the home on Route 30 in town between 6:30 and 9 p.m. Wednesday when the homeowner was out of the house.

But when the junior hit a 3-pointer with 50 seconds left in the game to give the Lady Rams control of the Section II Class A quarterfinal game Saturday, she yelled and pumped her fist as she raced back on defense and helped lock down the 65-54 victory over Mohonasen at Amsterdam High School.

    The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is seeking the person or people who entered a home on Route 30 in the town Wednesday and killed two dogs while burglarizing the home. Sheriff's Office Investigator Robert Gracia said someone entered the home on Route 30 in the town - which is south of Amsterdam - between 6:30 and 9 p.m. when the homeowner was out of the house.

    The state Appellate Division on Thursday ruled Montgomery County Court "erred" over three years ago by not discussing restitution with convicted murderer Anthony E. Brasmeister during his plea, and he must be re-sentenced. According to appellant attorney Mark Diamond, the decision also means his client, Brasmeister, could decide not to take the original plea arrangement and opt to take his case to trial instead.
