    Guy Cappuccio will represent Amsterdam's 4th Ward through this year after a majority of aldermen did not support the Montgomery County Democratic Committee selected appointee and candidate for the special election in November. The Amsterdam Common Council during a special meeting Thursday morning voted 3-0 to appoint Cappuccio, a Young Avenue resident, to serve as 4th Ward alderman until Dec. 31. Cappuccio is filling the vacancy created by Rodney Wojnar, who submitted his resignation to Mayor Michael Villa on Aug. 20. First Ward Alderman William Baaki was absent from the meeting Thursday.
