    Amsterdam officials took the next procedural step to receive $1.9 million in state grants to fund the proposed reconstruction of Church Street, a project slated for next year. The Amsterdam Common Council unanimously approved a resolution last week stating the city is "willing to issue" a $1.9 million bond anticipation note to fund the Church Street Reconstruction Project "independent of the anticipated reimbursable grants."
