    Athens-Clarke County is joining the parade of Georgia cities enacting local ordinances to make it clear that brewpubs - restaurants that brew beer on the premises - can fill "growlers" that can then be taken off the premises. The cities of Savannah, Alpharetta and Sandy Springs already have such ordinances on their books, and according to various media reports, other cities are, like Athens, expected to follow that lead.

    Two people were injured early Friday when the car they were in crashed and flipped over on the side of Timothy Road, Athens-Clarke County police said. Erika Shanice Ford, 23, of Alpharetta, was driving east near the James Drive intersection when the car left the road and went onto a ditch, struck a culvert and went airborne, coming down on its front end and flipping onto its roof before rolling onto the passenger side, according to police.
