    Two siblings have been indicted on murder and robbery charges by a Warren County grand jury for the 2012 killing of a gas station attendant in Phillipsburg. Both Flowers siblings are charged with murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of weapons -- a shotgun and a bb gun -- for an unlawful purpose and failure to have a firearms purchaser permit Zachary Flowers also is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, both for assaulting a corrections officer on Jan. 12, 2014.

    Joseph Obryant was driving almost 20 miles over the speed limit when he crossed over three lanes of Hamilton Boulevard, left the road and struck a tree on July 18, the Lehigh County district attorney's office said. Obryant's license was suspended at the time of the crash, and tests showed he had a small amount of synthetic marijuana in his blood.

    A driver who crashed his vehicle into a tree leading to the death of his passenger has now been charged, the Lehigh District Attorney said. The Lehigh County District Attorney's office says Joseph Obryant, 31, of Reading, was driving almost 20 miles over the speed limit when he crossed over three lanes of Hamilton Boulevard in Allentown, left the road and struck a tree head on.

    The Allentown Health Bureau alerted Lehigh County residents on Thursday that two cases of rabies were recently discovered in the county, prompting nearly 20 people to undergo treatment. The two cats were taken to the Lehigh County Humane Society by people who found them; they were sent to the Pennsylvania Department of Health for testing after "exhibiting aggressive behavior," according to a news release.

    The Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority unveiled a $1.2 million operating budget for next year that includes revenues of approximately $1.6 million from PPL Arena rental payments and developer fees. The authority's 2016 budget specified it will receive $900,000 in rental income from the downtown arena, which opened in September last year, and just over $700,000 in developer fees from such companies as Center City Investments, Inc. ANIZDA's estimated expenses next year total just over $1.2 million, leaving a net operating income of almost $397,000.
