    A trio of prominent Main Street merchants told Bethlehem city council Tuesday that the city does not need a third downtown shopping district competing with the two already in the city. The merchants oppose a proposal to re-zone the 53-acre Martin Tower property at 1170 Eighth Ave. They argue the change would allow more retail and restaurants on that property, putting any new development in direct competition with struggling businesses in Center City and South Bethlehem.

Daniel King Warren, of the 1900 block of West Broad Street, is charged with felony counts of criminal trespass and burglary, misdemeanor counts of simple assault and cocaine possession and summary counts of criminal mischief and harassment.
