    An attorney who alleged that she had a metal-detecting wand improperly shoved up her skirt by a sheriff's officer while going through security at the Sussex County Jail to visit a client four years ago has been awarded $95,000 to settle the case. Bonita Bourke, a 56-year-old Allamuchy attorney and former president of the Warren County Bar Association, alleged in a lawsuit filed in November 2014 that the officer in question placed the wand between her legs at least twice after a male intern accompanying her to the jail had been cleared by the same officer to enter.
