    According to Albert Lea Police, 33-year-old Erin Bennett was arrested on September 15 for suspected cocaine possession during a traffic stop near the intersection of Euclid Ave. and West William St. The district's executive director, Jim Quiram, told ABC 6 News that Bennett was placed on paid administrative leave pending the "outcome of an investigation." According to court documents, charges were filed against Bennett on June 24 for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; she's scheduled to appear in court on October 3 for those.

According to a press release, around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, deputies and Albert Lea police responded to a call of shots fired in the vicinity of 20600 715th Ave. The release stated 29-year-old Tyler Christensen hit the other man in the back with a shovel, then went into a building, grabbed a .22 lever action rifle and fired a shot.
