    With eight ultrasounds showing no reason to worry, Karen Carter was unaware that she and her husband Chris would today stand as the Ambassador family for Newberry County's March of Dimes efforts. Karen said she and her husband went in to have a normal delivery, but at one point after her water had broken, they noticed there was some meconium, a bowel movement in utero, which prompted a NICU team to be present at the birth.

    On Feb. 17 former trustee Adele Pope of Newberry filed a petition for writ of certiorari that asks the U.S. Supreme Court to review orders related to Brown's marital status and the impact those orders may have on his education charity under the Federal Copyright Act. A response to the petition may be filed by March 25, after which the Court will decide whether to accept the case.
