    Despite objections from some residents, the Hounsfield Town Planning Board is expected to soon approve the site plan for a Dollar General store, according to the board's chairwoman. Chairwoman Yvonne M. Podvin said the Planning Board is expected to hold a public hearing in April or May to consider approving the site plan for the 9,300-square-foot store proposed at the intersection of Route 3 and County Route 75 in the town, across from Pennock's Ice Cream on Route 3. Though some residents objected to the plan when it was first reviewed on March 1 by the Planning Board, Mrs. Podvin said their concerns about the aesthetics of the store clashing with the town's historic character have no bearing.
