Chattahoochee Technical College and CrossFlight Sky Solutions, based in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, have teamed up to offer a Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 Drone Pilot Training and Certification Program Oct. 1-5 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at CTC's North Metro campus at 5198 Ross Road in Acworth.

    A fatal car wreck on South Bridge Drive in Cartersville was one of two major accidents on Highway 41 Friday morning. According to the Georgia State Patrol, a motorcycle driven by Andrew Durham, 54, of Acworth, was traveling south on Joe Frank Harris Parkway when a blue Chevrolet Avalanche traveling north attempted to turn left on to Gentilly Boulevard.

    Georgia State Patrol officials have confirmed four people have died in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Friday afternoon at the intersection of Towe Chapel Road and Highway 140 in Adairsville. According to a GSP representative, a Toyota Avalon traveling north on Towe Chapel Road collided with a Ford F-150 heading east on Highway 140 at 2:35 p.m. The cars impacted, with the Avalon being struck in the driver's side.
