    It's been more than a week since 66-year-old Barbara Rusich was found mortally injured in a ditch south of Abita Springs in the pre-dawn hours of May 26. Despite an ongoing investigation by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office and lots of mind racking by family members, little more has been learned about the circumstances of the woman's death, which investigators believe resulted from a hit-and-run. Deputies and family members found Rusich around 3:45 a.m. in a ditch near the intersection of Louisiana 59 and Harrison Avenue.
