Last Wednesday, the Sachems won their second game in a row, a 6-0 win over Carver, to reach the minimum qualifying mark of .500 or better to earn a spot in the MIAA South Sectional Tournament.

    ABINGTON - A Whitman man and Hanover woman have been charged with shoplifting after police say they stole dozens of cans of whipped cream from a local grocery store then inhaled the gas inside to get high. Abington police responded to a report of shoplifting at the Stop and Shop grocery store on Centre Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday, where store employees said a man and woman had entered the store and made off with numerous cans of whipped cream.
