    Both Hydro One and Veridian are reporting power outages this afternoon, Monday, April 10, in the Bracebridge and Gravenhurst areas, respectively, following a thunderstorm that raced through Muskoka. In the Bracebridge area, both Hydro One and Lakeland Power are reporting an outage with an estimated restoration time of 7 p.m. Hydro One is reporting 2,597 customers affected.

    UPDATE: At 10 p.m., Veridian is reporting the outage continues and a new estimated restoration time is 11 p.m. Veridian is reporting a power outage in Gravenhurst tonight, Thursday, April 6. The outage affecting central Gravenhurst was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. with an estimated restoration time of 9:30 p.m. Crews are currently working to restore the outage, which is affecting between 51 and 500 residences. The cause has not been given.
