    On the 10th of February 2017 at about 2:10 P.M. officers from the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were called to a collision on County Road 2 in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township. A westbound car driven by a 58 year old man from Cornwall and an eastbound pickup truck driven by a 59 year old female from Gananoque collided on County Road 2. The 58 year old man died as a result of his injuries at the scene.
