    Just over four months after slamming his vehicle into a snow bank on a Corner Brook street while intoxicated, Matthew Payne was fined $1,500 and prohibited from driving for 15 months. According to provincial Crown attorney Alana Dwyer, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary received a tip of a possible impaired driver on Humber Road on Jan. 14 at about 7 p.m. The driver was swerving all over the road, hitting snow banks and nearly colliding with another vehicle, the court heard Tuesday.
