    The East Kootenay Volleyball Club U16 boys were very successful this past weekend in Edmonton, winning gold in Division Two at the 2017 16U Alberta Provincial tournament. Competing against 10 other teams from across the region, the EKVC boys defeated the Rhinos Volleyball Club out of Cold Lake in the quarterfinals , Edmonton's FOG Red in the semifinals , and then finally beat the Plamondon Volleyball Club in the championship game.
