    A 15-year-old youth was shot Tuesday night on Hamilton Street and a man police described as the victim's friend was in custody. The victim, whom police did not identify, was found suffering from a gunshot wound when police and emergency crews were called to an apartment on Hamilton Street just before 10 p.m. He was treated before being transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was transferred by medical helicopter to a Boston medical facility, police said in a news release.
