    Boston police arrested a Dorchester woman after another woman was dragged by a car, then struck by a taxi in the South End early yesterday, leaving her in critical condition. The female victim, who police said is 29, was dragged "a substantial distance" by a car driven by Brianna Smith, 26, of Dorchester, following an altercation involving four females outside the Victoria Diner on Massachusetts Avenue around 4 a.m. yesterday, police said.

    Boston Police report an investigation into how a man turned up at Tufts Medical Center with stab wounds early this morning led them to a condo at the Residences at W Boston, 110 Stuart St., where they found fresh blood and what turned out to be 30 pounds of marijuana and various tools associated with its sale Police say officers were called to the Tufts ER around 3:30 a.m. and then went over to the Residences a couple blocks away, where they found a 512-square-foot condo on the 23rd floor with "blood spatters" as well as owner Daniel Asher, 32, who was arrested for assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. Officers froze the residence and returned with a warrant allowing officers to search for the weapon used in the crime.

    A woman suffered life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning when she was caught in the door of an SUV and dragged hundreds of feet down a street following a fight outside a Dorchester diner, Boston police spokeswoman Rachel McGuire said the suspect, 26-year-old Brianna Smith of Dorchester, got into a fight at 4:30 a.m. with an unidentified 29-year-old woman, also of Dorchester, outside Victoria's Diner on Massachusetts Avenue. McGuire said it was not clear how the victim became caught in the door of the crossover SUV.
