ARLINGTON, Texas - Kendall Graveman and Drew Pomeranz might be from rivals schools Mississippi State and Ole Miss, respectively, but in Oakland their goal is simple: Graveman, 24, is 4-4 this season with a 3.86 ERA in seven starts, but those numbers are deceiving. After going 1-2 with an 8.27 ERA in his first four starts, he was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on April 26. In four starts there, he was 2-1 with a 1.85 ERA, earning a return trip to Oakland on May 23. The ex-Bulldog has made four starts since, including allowing two runs at Texas on June 24 to earn his fourth win of the season.
