    Bombardier announced Thursday that it's cutting 1,750 employees in Montreal, Toronto and Ireland over the coming months, and at least one analyst suggests more layoffs could loom on the horizon because of weak demand in other aircraft segments. The Montreal-based manufacturer of planes and trains has slashed thousands of jobs in the past couple of years, including at least 4,550 aerospace and support positions since last July.

It's less powerful than the Gulfstream 550 preferred by local billionaire, David Rubenstein of the Carlyle Group, but Pritzker's plane is still a nice ride: The "G-IV," as its known, was purchased in 2011, retails for around $40 million, carries up to 16 passengers and can make the flight from Washington to Switzerland without refueling - which might be why it was the ride of choice for her trips to the World Economic Forum in Davos each of the last two years.
