Cape weather: Mostly sunny, highs in 50s

"Goodnight Irene" sung by The Weavers topped the charts on this day in 1950 but it was originally recorded in 1932 by blues musician Huddie 'Lead Belly' Ledbetter, whose performance of the song got him released from jail after being charged with attempted murder.
