Book review: "Jesus on Trial"
When David Limbaugh let his friend Steve know that he had doubts about Christianity, he was surprised by Steve's response. Instead of a blast of arrogant judgmentalism, Steve responded like a Christian should - with grace and evidence.

The Truth About Israel and Christians
After several days of furious commentary, Senator Ted Cruz's decision to walk out of a conference on the plight of Middle East Christians continues to sizzle. As I first wrote last Thursday , friends of Israel praised him for telling those in attendance booing him off the stage that if they wouldn't stand with Israel, he wouldn't stand with them.

David Limbaugh's Case For Christianity
George W. Bush on 9/11/2001: We're at War, We Will Find Who Did This and "We're Going to Kick Their A**" David Limbaugh has written a book that departs dramatically from his recent tomes on the worst excesses of the Obama presidency. "Jesus On Trial: A Lawyer Affirms the Truth of the Gospel" explores his journey of faith, from believer to non-believer and back.
Christianity grounded in the historical fact of the resurrection
Jesus' apostles and other disciples were willing to die for him. But so what? Haven't the followers of other religious leaders and even some political leaders been willing to die for them, as well? If CDPs Told the Truth
In my last post , I suggested that librarians were being hypocritical about the political nature of their jobs and hiding behind collection development policies that our earnest homophobic crusader claimed were basically just aids to "banning" certain kinds of books librarians don't like. Because the ALA's arguments about intellectual freedom and diversity and censorship are an incoherent mess, the standard ALA line isn't going to work trying to refute the homophobic crusader.

Why I Wrote 'Jesus on Trial'
In case you haven't heard, despite all the noise we've been trying to make about it, I have a new book out, "Jesus on Trial: A Lawyer Affirms the Truth of the Gospel," and I'm excited about it. It is on Christian apologetics, which means it defends the Christian faith and its truth claims, but it also includes my personal journey from skeptic to believer and a discussion of basic Christian doctrine.
Religious persecution in Cuba: Solidarity and Truth
Typically, a totalitarian regime has an official religious council, whose members serve a couple of purposes: They pretend to the outside world that the regime allows religious freedom; and they help keep the natives in line. The Castro dictatorship has such a council: It's called the CCC, or the Cuban Council of Churches.
