As part of the "A Moment in Time" Series, The Capitol Center Orchestra, under the direction of Clayton J. Poole, will pay tribute to Count Basie today, May 19th at 4:00pm. The tribute features drummer and Basie alumnus Butch Miles.

PAYING TRIBUTE: The late Count Basie, a jazz pianist, organist, bandleader and composer, led his big-band orchestra for nearly 50 years.

An outdoor concert event, "Jazz Under the Stars," will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 14, in the courtyard at Manville High School.
