I remember an argument that I had with a somewhat thickheaded friend from high school: He tried to argue that women were inherently unable to rock as hard as their male counterparts.
Guitar World recently caught up with ex-Distillers frontwoman Brody Dalle, where she talks about her current band, Spinnerette.
" Grunge + Punk = Grunk! " No Plan B was formed in early 2007. Their sound is comprised of razor sharp guitar riffs and a vocal assault provided by C.J, backed up by Li's filthy bass riffs, and A.J's pounding rhythms.
Spinnerette brings experience to new release
Former Distillers front woman Brody Dale's new band Spinnerette is a heavy alternative rock band.
MHAs should have to sing for their supper
"They say this is the city The city of angels All I see is dead wings." - The Distillers, "City of Angels" I'll admit that, after some 25 years of reporting on politicians, I might be a little jaded.

You'd think feathery falsettoed soul man Maxwell, after waking up from an eight-year Rip Van Winkle absence, could reward his adoring fans' patience with more than nine new songs, including one instrumental, the closing "Phoenix Rise." That'll be forgivable, though, if the newly Afro-less singer really does make good on his promise to follow up ...
Spinnerette, Spinnerette, Anthem, It was six years ago that the romance between Rancid ringleader Tim Armstrong and The Distillers dominatrix Brody Dalle publicly fell to pieces.

Brody's new band will leave you in a spin
PUNK pin-up Brody Dalle is back with a new group, a new record and a new tour. She was the gravel-voiced frontwoman of Californian band The Distillers for eight years, until they split in 2006.
You May not have Heard of Them Yet, but You will
As you'd expect of a woman married to Queens of the Stone Age 's Josh Homme , Spinnerette's Brody Dalle knows how to kick up an old-school garage rawk ruckus.
On their self-titled debut album, Spinnerette, the new band from punk-rock goddess Brody Dalle, sound sort of like a cross between Dalle's old band, the Distillers, and Eagles of Death Metal, the sleazy riff-rock outfit her husband Josh Homme works on when he's not busy with his main gig, Queens of the Stone Age.
Brody Dalle left the punk guitars behind when her former band the Distillers came to an end, but she's kept the attitude for Spinnerette.
It's been six years since Brody Dalle put out an album, but tonight the former Distillers frontwoman will hit the Bowery Ballroom with her new band Spinnerette.
The T.O. Do List: June 19 2009

Album Review: Spinnerette -'Spinnerette'
Different is good, right? Er, not always... Ita s been three years since one of punka s most famous frontwomen disbanded the very group that put her at the forefront of wet dreams, magazine posters and everything cool you wish youa d done first.
CD / DVD reviews: From Meat Loaf to rock chick . .
AFTER disbanding The Distillers, Brody Dalle seems to have finally found her feet with new project Spinnerette.
While this band may not sound familiar, the musicians involved will. Fronted by Brody Dalle of The Distillers fame, the line-up also includes her former bandmate Tony Bevilacqua on guitar, ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Jack Irons and Queens Of The Stone Age's Alain Johannes.
