What's The Best Cover of a Beatles Song?

I've always been partial to Elton John's version of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" maybe because John Lennon himself appears on it.

Other favorites are Aerosmith's "Come Together" and Stevie Wonder's "We Can Work it Out"

To tell you the truth...I would think of Jose Feliciano's "Light my Fire"! lol I made it as a joke of course! Hard question to answer...You know I always like the original thing. But some artists made the covers better than the originals. However, in Beatles' case, I like their songs as they are. "Now and Then" would be great though, lol Have you signed in? Sign! Come on Beatlemaniacs!

I feel the same Greg, especially about Now and then.
but of all the cover versions that i have ever heard, that really hit me, is Randy Travis singing nowhere man.
Randy did two versions of that song, fthe first version is from 1990 at a John Lennon tribute concert, and then he recorded a studio version in 1995, on the Beatle's tribute album called , Come together.
Randy's live 1990 version is my favorite, it really hit me deep.

Hi Allan, how are you? Great cover indeed. I don't want to put down other artists who made excellent job on Beatles' songs, but to me, you know it's like John who did "Stand by me" greater than B.B. King's version. B.B. King's song however had the original charm. Can you dig?

myself, i don't know too many cover versions of beatle songs, so all this is new to me.
but ol' randy got me teary eyed.
i have the 1995 version, which is good too.
it was given to me by an old estranged fiancee of mine a few months back, ehem.

Does anyone remember the Butcher sleeve Album? That may not have been the best, but it was one of the strangest.

the butcher cover is the strangest but it's also the most searched out beatle collectable.
it has been priced at around 5 thousand dollars in mint condition.

LOL...it was unintentional, but it's amazing how song titles can be part of everyday speech.
That Quantum of Solace song will most likely have an everyday throw-away line that will register with most people, even if the title doesn't.
John Lennon would have had outrageous fun with it.

we had a great time visiting mom and dad , the weather is a bit humid, because it rained earlier, but tomorrow is when the severe stuff comes through.

When George Harrison died, I remember there was a tribute special on that I think might have been part of an awards show, but I can't remember exactly. Anyway, Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi of Bon Jovi did a version of Here Comes the Sun. They were showing pictures of George in the background and I think their version was very well done and very moving. I enjoyed it.

Tina Turner did a great version of Help.
