The television comedy series "The Office" capped off its nine-season run on NBC with a special farewell last night.

NBC's "The Office" has achieved something that most sitcoms won't, and that's staying on for nine seasons.

Rainn Wilson , the comedic actor best known for his regular role as Dwight Schrute on NBC's hit series "The Office," will be the guest speaker at Chapman University's 2013 Baccalaureate Service, which will be held today, May 17 at 4 p.m. in the Wallace All Faiths Chapel, Fish Interfaith Center on the Chapman campus in Orange.

The actor, who played Michael Scott for seven of the NBC comedy's nine seasons, reprised his character in Thursday night's episode to make a surprise appearance at the wedding of Dwight and Angela .
