In the bluegrass world, there aren't many bands with more national momentum right now than Greensky Bluegrass from Kalamazoo, Mich.

An enthusiastic crowd gathered last Friday night to hear Railroad Earth play the first of their two-night stand at the Paradise Rock Club.

Greensky Bluegrass, as the name suggests, is not the average bluegrass band. The Michigan based band plays traditional bluegrass music, but also focuses on challenging what many may consider to be the limits of the genre.
