A sinister solstice by candlelight for Dark Mofo's In Praise of Darkness.

This program of music, acquitted by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra at 10pm on the eve of the longest night of the year, was a smart addition to Dark Mofo's tradition of ringing in the solstice in extremis : nude swimming, organ-shuddering post-rock, midnight music in St David's Cathedral.
