Yes...they have such dynamo as a leader. I really think he passed on and someone is hiding behind him-moving his arms to make him look alive.

Very courageous and good of the Bishop. But why is this in a UK publication, not in AUS?

He should go a step further and exit the Catholic Church, because the orginsation he had joined appeared to be different from what he then experienced in practice. Better late than never.

No progress can be expected from the Ratzinger Pope. He had presided over the Diocese of Cologne, one of the richest dioceses in the world. He was embedded in the German establishment, like the corrupt Kohl regime, so he cannot be expected to have a realistic world view. And then Kohl's first wife Hannelore got a pompous Catholic funeral, although she was not even Catholic and had died through suicide. But the ex-Chancellor had plenty of money from his corrupt dealings with Mitterrand and where you can pay, the Catholic Church under Ratzinger obliged.

It was a tragedy for the Catholic Church that he became pope, too much focus on the past, the elites of power and money.

..... What can and cannot be proven? Lots of scandals, anywhere, are apparently only suggestions and probabilities what might have happened, not what actually happened.
..... As for the current pope, the cardinals re expected to elect only the very best of them to be pope. Or do they claim that God made the selection of popes, not they? Were the Catholics of Cologne happy with the current pope? Did he really help them?
..... And as I keep repeating, victims of lawbreakers should go to the police AT THE TIME and help them collect sufficient evidence for courts to convict them.
