Night Owls to play at Canal Place Saturday
Saturdays Live at Canal Place free music series will be featuring the Night Owls playing blues, jazz and rock music on the bricks by the Shops at Canal Place on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The local classic rock band the Night Owls have added a new member to their group in Mike Faour, formerly of the Grammy award winning '70s group Peaches & Herb.
Formed: 1965 in Washington, D.C. Similar Artists Biography Though soul/pop Peaches and Herb was billed as a duo, their group member rotation is more similar to a group's. The original Peaches, Francine Hurd Barker, a Washington, D.C., native, earned the childhood nickname "Peaches" because of her genteel manner.
The Peaches & Herb coming to the Gallo Center for the Arts tonight aren't exactly the same hit-making duo from years past.
