Whales and wolves are sharing the stage with the Durham Philharmonic Choir at its final concert of the season.

It is mid-winter in rural Connecticut, and the cavernous wooden barn that Paul Winter has used as his rehearsal and recording space for the past several decades is empty of other musicians for now.
