While the last of the older classic-rock dudes performed across the river on Harriet Island to wind down Taste of Minnesota on Sunday night, two younger bands with electrifying female singers sneaked into Xcel Energy Center and offered the modern flavor and girl power that was sorely missing from the live music offerings of the holiday weekend.
