Bad Plus links acoustic jazz with pop culture
The Bad Plus, an alt-acoustic piano trio, has won a wide following by maintaining a running dialogue with popular culture through canny covers of material by Black Sabbath, Nirvana and others.
On April 5, 1968 composers Milton Babbitt , Vladimir Ussachevsky and George Balch Wilson came to Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire to judge the first competition devoted to electronic music.
