"Last Vegas" at Durham Library Thursday

So what do we have here? Four lifelong buddies originally from Brooklyn - the "Flatbush Four" - spend a weekend in Las Vegas, whooping it up in the fleshpots and basking in all its gals, glitz and glamor. Been there, seen that? Another chapter in the Hangover franchise? Another episode in HBO's Entourage series? Not exactly.

Michael Douglas Talks First Facial Hair In 35 Years

Michael Douglas has become known for his dapper appearance in movies; he was one of the original wolves of Wall Street, after all, and he looks very good in a suit. Occasionally, however, he's ventured into different territory when it comes to his roles-think grizzled, troubled writer Grady Tripp in Wonder Boys -and now he's about to revisit a look he hasn't had in over three decades: a goatee.

Obama's craven delay on immigration [Editorial]

Want to know what average Americans think of a president who makes decisions based on politics and not what he actually believes in? President Barack Obama should rent a copy of "The American President" with friends and listen to the cheers when President Andrew Shepherd as played by Michael Douglas finally figures out to stop paying attention to polls and start doing what's right and back the environmental legislation supported by his girlfriend, played by Annette Bening. President Obama's recent decision to delay executive action on immigration reform is much like President Shepherd's initial endorsement of a "crime bill" in the movie to help his re-election bid - it's a cave-in to certain Democrats running in competitive Senate races.
