CANCELLED: Tavis Smiley's "Death of a King" @ Proctors

In the wake of allegations of sexual harassment against television host/author Tavis Smiley , the tour of his "Death of a King: A Live Theatrical Experience" stage production has been cancelled by the Saratoga Springs-based producers Mills Entertainment . The tour - a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. featuring readings by Smiley and live music by jazz pianist Marcus Roberts - included a performance originally slated for Proctors in Schenectady on Thursday, January 18. "In light of the recent allegations concerning Tavis Smiley, Mills Entertainment will not be moving forward with the 'Death of a King' project at this time.
