ICCSO fall concert is later this month
The Iowa City Community String Orchestra presents the fall concert of its 29th season at 3 p.m. Nov.

AT about the same time that Verdi was writing his late masterpieces, and Puccini wrote La Boheme, Leos Janacek started his third opera, Jenufa.
Leos Janacek was 50 when Jenufa was first performed in Brnos National Theatre on January 20, 1904.
