This is good news for us Zeppelin fans. I had read a rumore that the three of them had been jamming and maybe even recording some. But like a lot of people here, I was doubtful it was actually true because of the negative statements that wet blanket Plant had been saying about a Zeppelin reunion, virtually since the day after the o2 show. This is just guessing on my part but I would say that Page finally had enough of waiting for Plant when he pulled another fast one by extending his current tour with Alison Krauss (After telling Page, Jones and Bonham that he might be free for a Zeppelin tour after he finished his current one with AK, which I believe was to be completed earlier this year but now is extended well into sept and maybe beyond). Plant has always seemed to pull this gag on both Page and us Zeppelin fans, "Im busy with my SOLO stuff, but after I get done I may be available", its like a broken record and he's done it for decades. I hope the three of them continue to jamm and record, get a solid vocalist to sing the toons, we've had some ideas about who that could be, and get the show on the road!

QUOTING HUGH "would say that Page finally had enough of waiting for Plant when he pulled another fast one by extending his current tour with Alison Krauss"
I hope your right hugh. Page is the one who needs to make this happen. Jones has already said, empahtically, uneqivocally, several times hes for it. And we know Jason Bohnam is in. I wonder if Page was afraid that any Zeppelinline up without Palnt would offend the aging Zep fans (im one) i really hope hes getting the several times hes for it. And we know Jason Bohnam is in. I wonder if Page was afraid that any Zeppelinline up without Palnt would offend the aging Zep fans (im one) i really hope hes getting teh message that most of us have had enough of Plants offensive( and rather puzzling) hostility and posturing.Jones is the really the ony other one Page HAD to have. they can find a singer, and a good one.

Im with you on that marcus. Page did have to have jone's involved, and yeah he's already stated that he is more than willing to be a part of it. Fans seem to forget that John Paul Jones had a great deal of influence not only in the live shows, but also the songs written on the albums (he's been somewhat credited with co-writting Led Zeppelin 1 with JP, although Page had already more or less put in the basics of that album even before the band really got going as a live act). He has a very long history of writting/producing/playing music that goes back well into the mid 60's, even before Zeppelin. Its just unlike Page and Plant, he wasnt the "stage persona", he prefered to stay low key. And I think its fantastic that Bonham is in on to, it will just add that much more power to the project. As far as vocals its anyone's guess who that will be. Plant appears to be totally stuck in "doing his own thing" mentality, which is fine by me, I just dont like the way the he's lead fans and probably his former band mates on, IMO it is offensive as you said. I think if the music is off the cuff and honest so to speak (not rehashed, comercialized stuff like coverdale/page for instance) they can produce something quite good. Just let it rip and make a solid bare bones heavy blues/rock album, the hallmark of the Mighty Led Zeppelin and what they did and or do best!
