The fifth in a series of Jazz Workshops/Concerts featuring faculty from the internationally known Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops.

You may know that David Leonhardt has 38 years of professional experience with many of the top names in jazz from Benny Carter to Stan Getz.

Blake Deforest raised his trumpet and told Lewis Central High School music teacher Andy Walters, "I'm going to improvise." And he did, unleashing a portion of "G Blues" by jazz saxophonist Jamey Aebersold for the Lewis Central school board.

Community, fellowship, and faith filled the Country Picnic building at Joe Huber's Restaurant on Sunday as the Interfaith Community Council honored their "Giants in the Faith," recognizing 32 people who serve as role models for those around them.

The basement tells the story. Decades of excellence fill bookshelves and walls. Photos hang in every corner of the room as employees hurry along, filling orders and answering calls.
