I've been alarmed by terrifying tunes ever since I was a kid -- compelled to turn on every light in the house after watching a horror movie introduced by the pipe organ drone of Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor." But the truth is, I love that kind of music, even if it raises the hair on my neck and gets the pulse racing .
