Excellent. More and more states and localities are taking a stand against the invaders and the slave masters who love to exploit them.

Typically, the ACLU, MALDEF, whoever, will try and halt the laws in every possible way. The pro-illegal lobby doesn't want to see any enforcement.

Any governor and/or legislative body can insist it is strongly against illegal immigration - but often such pronouncements from high ranking public officials are nothing more than exercises in demagoguery to fool the gullible.

However, the key question is whether any laws that are supposed to bring strong sanctions against employers who hire undocumented aliens will be regularly and universally enforced - or will such laws only be enforced once in awhile, and then with press conferences and big announcements by the local authorities on the rare occasions they do something and so as to fool the general public into thinking a lot is being done.

For instance in many places all sorts of businesses, and including janitorial and building contractors and those needing to get rid of toxic waste, etc, etc, etc, make extensive use of undocumented alien labor so as to drastically reduce costs, and many of those contractors provide large election campaign contributors, and are therefore immune from prosecution by the local DA and all other legal agencies.

For example, for years one of the biggest traffickers in undocumented aliens in California was M. L. "Larry The Liar" Lawrence (he was the former US Ambassador to Switzerland whose body was dug up and removed from Arlington National Cemetery when it was discovered about a year after his death that he had never even served in WW2, let alone having been the big war hero he had pretended to be), but due to the large amounts of money he arranged to have given to the politicians, he was immune from arrest and prosecution, and even though it was common knowledge among San Diego area members of the Border Patrol (and also a lot of other people) that Lawrence was a major trafficker in undocumented aliens.

In fact, it was also standard procedure at a major California office building that Lawrence owned to use undocumented aliens as unwitting dupes to remove and illegally dump asbestos debris, and then they were frequently fired without pay under threat of being turned into Immigration for deportation. And even though it had been going on for years at that building, no relevant legal agency would do anything about it since Lawrence was too important a source of money to the politicians. In fact while he was still alive. he was described on the CBS Evening News by the comment: "He Got His Ambassadorshiop the Old Fashioned Way - He Bought It," and which is pretty much how he had arranged just about everything in his life for over forty years.

It is in the constitution that states cannot conduct foreign policy. I think that applies to this.

Good for Missouri!!!!!!!!
Now, if Illinois and the other states would draft a law like Missouri has, it would be a huge step in the right direction to rid the country of illegals, and help the state budgets by not having to provide for the freeloading aliens.

Don't fly the Mexico flag in the good ole U.S. of A.

Just the latest in a long list of reasons why I've been proud to call Missouri home for more than twenty years, and why I've all but disowned my native Cook County. Illinois is a disgrace, from its boy-king governor to its Chicago politburo.

Anti-communist reform came to the USSR and pro-democracy demonstrations to China, but it will be a cold day in Hades before either happens in Chicago, or, I fear, Illinois.

if a stranger enters your house unwelcome, you have the right to kick them out, and it doesn't have anything to do with "foreign policy".

The only laws that do any good are the ones that are enforced. Let's see how many companies get fined and how many illegals flee from the state.

The challenge will be enforcement, without it the law is only fluff.

This is not foreign policy. This is about breaking the law. The states have a right to enact this since it pretains to their state only.

The article notes that Missouri does not have a large population of illegal immigrants. I think I know why. They don't have 'sanctuary' cities and the state legislature reacted quickly to stop the problem before it became intractable.

Truly progessive legislation. Our monstrosity of a governor refuses to do anything about it as parts of Richmond turn into a slum barrio.

Good for Missouri before the illegal Latinos show up, set up shop, have children, and start setting up sanctuary cities like happened in Chicago. I am a legal immigrant and I support immigrant rights, just not illegal immigrant rights. In Chicago area, our gutless politicians won't even deport felon and murderers that are here illegally.

Way to go Missouri! D**n, i wish my state would at least enforce the ones that are on the books. We tried with a prop (187) but even though the majority of people voted for it, we were stabbed in the back by our courts. The Southern quarter of our state is already lost and the rest is not far behind, by 2028 California will be very much like Miami is now, too bad, it WAS wonderful here.

It's time to start deporting illegal immigrants from South America and send them to Africa. That way they can't just cross the border again. Also maybe they can help Africans grow some food.

National security? National security my big fat @ss!!

Missouri's idea of "get-tough laws on immigration is just as racist as it was in the 1960's south with the blacks!

I'm sure the MO lawmakers reconsider this immorral bill.
