Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inducts Stooges; Rocks Off Team Member Faints In Disbelief

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2010 inductees Tuesday. Somehow, Jann Wenner and his cronies even managed to induct an actual rock band this year: streetwalkin' Detroit cheetahs Iggy & the Stooges - who, according to RRHOF rules , were first eligible in 1994.

Williamson-era Stooges to play UK gigs

James Williamson has rejoined The Stooges and the reformed band will reportedly play next year's All Tomorrow's Parties in the UK on May 2 and 3. Williamson first joined the group, renamed Iggy & The Stooges, for their 1973 album Raw Power , but has not played live since the break-up of that lineup the following year.
