The Mosh Pit 11.20.09: New Death Metal Posted by Dan Haggerty on 11.20.2009 This week the Mosh Pit looks at a few of the Death Metal albums to come out in 2009.

First, the bad news: after sitting out a scheduled Saturday night performance with Finnish heavy metal band Ensiferum at Emo's, Swedish death metal trio Hypocrisy has had to pull out of the remainder of their co-headlining tour.

Volume 11 Tavern - Finnish, Swedish, Italian, Canadian and, uhh, Winston-Salem-ian metal all gather between these inferno-red walls.

Concept albums are not easy tasks to undertake. And releasing concept albums within the death metal community are even rarer endeavors.

One of the longest running bands in the folk metal circuit, Finland's Ensiferum [which translates to "sword bearing"] shows no sign of age.
