IN THE SPIRIT of puffy shirts, moonlit melodrama, mirthful buccaneers and bathing beauties, Pirates of Penzance! was a rollicking good evening of swashbuckling entertainment that amused the whole family.

Gwenn Friss on "Joy Unbounded: A Gilbert & Sullivan Musical Jubilee!" Laura Garner has created a warm, clever and playful tribute to the music of Sir Arthur Sullivan and W.S. Gilbert, and seven local singers bring it all to life with, well, joy unbounded.
