Late STAR TREK creator GENE RODDENBERRY is to be inducted into the U.S. Television Academy's Hall of Fame to mark his work on the sci-fi franchise.

Actress Candace Bergen, Saturday Night Live announcer Don Pardo and comedy duo Tom and Dick Smothers are among the TV personalities who will be inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame early next year, the Academy announced Tuesday.

Mel Blanc and Don Pardo were best known for being heard and not seen. Blanc entertained us as the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and dozens of other Warner Brothers cartoon characters.
