Old Man Strength harkens back to a nastier, sleazier era

The Xeroxed flier enclosed with Old Man Strength's self-titled vinyl 7-inch proudly trumpets the band as proponents of old-school punk and hardcore, with influences including D.O.A. and Poison Idea. Not to argue with the somewhat intimidating-looking members of the quartet, but the four songs here hark back to a nastier, sleazier, and more chaotic later era, when second-wavers like Death Sentence and House of Commons ripped onto the scene.
