I am a huge DMB fan, but sadly won't be going to either show at Jones Beach. They are way too expensive! I've gone to dozens of DMB shows and have never seen such outrageous prices from a venue!
But this is all too typical at Jones Beach. Screw them, they can kiss my ass if they think they're going to get a dime from me or any of my friends. We roadtripped up state to see DMB and saved a ton of money!

How the heck do you die "suddenly" from an ATV accident? There's something they're not telling us about the death of LeRoi Moore.

It's not only Jones beach.....take a look around..paul mccartney can't sell out city field, Aerosmith can't sell out..the list goes on...Glad to see that there are folks finally deciding not to pay to go to these shows like there are folks deciding not to pay to professional sports games. I'm beginning to get to a point where I'm just fine finding a live stream of the show on the internet..I'd rather pay to subscribe to it than pay the outragous prices for local venues

I agree.Jones Beach is now unaffordable for the average working person. Who runs the ticket operations here? Isnt it Ticketmaster? Didnt they get in trouble for "price fixing" a while back?

Blame it on Live Nation. The greedy corp merged with ticketmaster and now charge these ridiculous prices. Who will pay 125 to not even sit in the orchestra. Get real.

Seriously, he died some time after the accident. He was doing ok, then on the way to L.A. for treatment, he passed away. Come on now, all DMB fans know this...

I'm going on Wednesday and Psyched. Saw DMB at Jones Beach in 97, it was AWESOME.

I didn't find the price that expensive $85 total with tax an charge. It costs $50 to go to get bad seats at a lousy Mets game. I think its rather reasonable for such a small venue.

you cant compare prices from 1997 to those of 2009. rather than pay for crappy seats at a mets game, ill stay home and watch it on my new hi-fef tv.

but the ticketmaster-live nation merger is ripping us off right and left. why isnt anyone investigating?

Agree and the site is down everytime I try to get Phish Tickets...There really isn't any excuse for it these days...technology shouldn't impede it should enable and their site isn't enabling...

I have 8th row tickets and they were $70 each. That's actually on the low end of the Top 5 tours - DMB tickets are always on the low end of the big acts. I got my tickets through The Warehouse. And Leroi passed away about 6 weeks after his accident - he was on his property on his ATV, hit a pothole that was covered with grass and weeds, flipped over the handlebar and the ATV flipped on top of him. He was doing fine recovering in Virginia, but wanted to get to his Los Angeles home to rehab. Doctors told him not to do it because the flight could cause complications - he wound up getting a blood clot shortly after arriving in Los Angeles and died.

We're already into December, so it's time to do some serious thinking about your festive preparations. How are they coming along? If you haven't even started them yet, there's no need to be gripped by a senseless panic.
