Hailing from the once bountiful Omaha, Neb., indie/punk scene and with more than 15 years under their belts, Cursive has amassed a solid following of fans without the use of MTV or a closing credits slot on Gossip Girl .

Cursive Omaha, Neb., is one of the decade's most surprising hotbeds. Buoyed by Conor Oberst/Bright Eyes and the Saddle Creek Records label, the Midwestern city has turned out several notable indie rock acts.
