Artist reflects on mark left in South Canterbury and North Otago

From stringing himself up on a crucifix to designing a demonic Steampunk train, an Oamaru artist will leave a lasting legacy in South Canterbury and North Otago as he moves on to his next playground. Over nine years Paterson has crafted a unique identity for the town's harbour area, was instrumental in helping the town reach its current New Zealand Steampunk capital title, and was commissioned for numerous civic statues of prominent historic figures.
