1 Meanwhile I may as well plan on living in my car, until I get a ticket for parking on the street on street sweeping day because I cannot afford to buy gas, to go to work, so I will not be able to keep my high paying $6.55 per hour job. Then I will lose my car and my home and need to live in a public shelter...oops, forgot they are being closed due to lack of funds..then I won't be able to get psychiatric care since the clinics are out of money... anyone see an available cliff to jump off of???? |

Arnold and his family + legislators should be the ones who get minimum wage.

What is wrong with this place... We teach our children to go to school/college if possible, get a degree get ahead of others and succeed. This guy take millions from the schools, now he is taking the money from these kids who are working and yes even parents to support the families. Why not look at the free hand outs - welfare, free lunches, I realize there are those that need and deserve this but it is totally abused and if he would support AMERICA, get rid of the illegals I dont mean just the mexicans either.. Get rid of them all and lets see where we stand then...
I thought he worked for us? I thought he represented us? PEOPLE NEVER ELECT ANYONE FROM HOLLYWOOD... |

The only people who need their salaries cut are the legislators who cannot get their crap together long enough to reach a timely agreement. Since they cannot do their job, they should not be paid until a result can come of their own indecision and unwillingness to compromise.
There is no reason to cut the salaries of state employees who do their jobs but every reason to cut that of those who don't. |

Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles) said, "I don't believe the governor would put public servants in the crossfire of this budget battle." I disagree. Yes, he would and yes he is. This "battle" being played out is turning into a standoff between Republicans who refuse to raise taxes and Democrats who are urging a tax increase. Neither side will budge. The governor in command is leading the state troops to slaughter, unarmed. How does a "temporary" reduction to minimum wage dig the state out of any hole? They have to catch up and repay later. Or will they? Thank-you State Controller Chiang for refusing to implement the order if signed by the Governor. How dare the Governor use public servants' livelihoods to force the hands of obstinate legislators?
